On December 15, 2020, in Xiamen, China, and Dallas, United States, Yeastar, the global provider of PBX systems for SMEs, announced its merger with Ursalink, a global provider of IoT solutions, and Milesight, a pioneer in AI-powered video surveillance.
Following the merger, Milesight and Ursalink will continue to operate under the Milesight brand, while Yeastar will remain independent under its own brand. Since its founding in 2006, Yeastar has provided high-performance communication solutions to SMEs, while Milesight, founded in 2011, stands out for its network cameras, NVRs, software and an app that offer superior image quality and great flexibility. Ursalink, established in 2017, focuses on simplifying data collection, storage and retrieval to connect things to the Cloud.
“Unified communications has always been an essential catalyst for digital transformation, modernizing the workplace,” says Prince Cai, Yeastar’s vice president. He notes that the growing adoption of UC, combined with AI and IoT, can reinvent the digital work environment.
Alan Shen, president of Milesight-IoT and former president of Ursalink, explains that IoT, supported by AI, 5G and big data, enables devices to learn and process information like humans. Leon Jiang, vice president of Milesight, adds that the combination of AI and IoT positions Milesight to develop next-generation smart solutions, particularly in video surveillance.
The new entity aims to accelerate the digital transformation of businesses, enabling them to connect and interact in an intelligent work environment through a combination of UC, AI and IoT.
The Yeastar team supports businesses and integrators in assessing their needs, selecting an architecture, and preparing for deployment.
