On July 26, 2018, Yeastar, a manufacturer of VoIP PBX systems, announced the release of the beta version of its Linkus unified communications application, now available on Windows, Android and iOS.
This new version builds on the success of the Linkus mobile client, which has exceeded 30 000 downloads. It adds support for the Windows desktop and instant messaging (IM), while offering a full range of advanced call management features, such as transfer, hold, mute, recording, as well as a personalized ring strategy.
Linkus allows users to “take their extension anywhere”: it can complement or replace a desk phone by offering all extension features, enabling employees to manage business communications from their mobile devices or PCs.
Seamless collaboration is made easier by checking colleagues’ presence (available, away, offline or on a call). The Desktop version also integrates Google and Outlook contacts, displaying call pop-ups and call logs.
“The new Linkus marks an important milestone for Yeastar in our journey toward unified communications,” said Alan Shen, CEO of Yeastar. “We are just getting started. Our vision is to innovate continuously and fully support our partners at every step. With the cost reductions and productivity improvements brought by the new Linkus, Yeastar’s complete UC portfolio is off to a strong start.”
Three beta versions are currently available: Linkus for Windows, Linkus for Android and Linkus for iOS. These versions work only with Yeastar Cloud PBX 80.6.0.3; support for Yeastar S‑Series VoIP PBXs is planned soon.
