On June 1, 2016, Yeastar, a manufacturer of VoIP PBX systems, announced the launch of its new S‑Series, designed for small and medium-sized businesses supporting up to 500 users.
The S‑Series models are designed “from the ground up” to deliver real performance through state-of-the-art components: Texas Instruments voice processors, industrial quad-core Freescale ARM A9 CPUs, additional RAM and Samsung flash memory. The series also offers a PBX in active-passive mode for fault tolerance.
The four available models are: S20 (20 users, 10 simultaneous calls), S50 (50 users, 25 simultaneous calls), S100 (100/200 expandable users, 30/60 simultaneous calls) and S300 (300/500 expandable users, 60/120 simultaneous calls). Each model is scalable using color-coded modules (FXO, FXS, SIP, ISDN BRI, E1/T1/PRI, GSM/CDMA/3G/UTMS) to increase the number of users, simultaneous call capacity or change the type of telephone connection.
The S‑Series PBX systems are “Plug and Play”: they are ready to use immediately, with no maintenance fees, and feature and firmware updates are free for life. A new app store makes it possible to add options such as LDAP, auto-provisioning, etc.
Security is enhanced: each system includes a firewall, PIN protection, IP restrictions, TLS/SRTP encryption, automatic DDOS attack detection, locking after failed login attempts, and the ability to block local or international dialing codes.
Stephen Corrigan, vice president of sales at Yeastar, said that the S‑Series represents “a new milestone in price and performance, while remaining true to the values of affordability, reliability and innovation for SMEs.”
The Yeastar team supports businesses and integrators in assessing their needs, selecting an architecture, and preparing for deployment.
