The Yeastar Central Management (YCM) platform has just received a major update: trunk sharing. This feature allows service providers to centralize the configuration of SIP trunks and DID numbers, optimize resource usage, and reduce operating costs. In this article, we detail the benefits, implementation, and future prospects of this innovation.
Introducing the YCM Update
On May 20, 2025, Yeastar launched trunk sharing on YCM, a solution for P-Series cloud PBX providers. It centralizes the management of SIP trunks and DID numbers, providing a single platform for configuration, monitoring, and allocation across multiple PBXs. BYOI partners will benefit from this feature starting June 9.

A live stream was broadcast to present trunk sharing and other updates, including CRM and Dynamics 365 integration templates. The full video is available for those who missed the live event, so they can see the feature in action and understand its operational benefits.
Challenges before trunk sharing
Managing multiple PBXs required independent trunk configuration for each instance, creating duplication, limited resource sharing, and fragmented DID number management. Trunk sharing centralizes these elements on YCM, enabling efficient sharing across PBXs and customers.
Trunk sharing for the P‑Series Cloud edition
Simply install a shared trunk in the same region, preconfigure the DID numbers, then view everything in YCM > Cloud PBX > Trunk Sharing. An overview of status, providers, and details simplifies administration and operations.
Simplified shared trunk configuration
Yeastar lets you add a registered trunk or a peer trunk as a shared trunk, lock it to a region, use built-in ITSP templates, and instantly propagate changes to all assigned PBXs. The trunk status (“Connected” or “Failed”) is displayed in real time.
DID number management
DID numbers can be imported in bulk or added by range, then linked to a shared trunk and assigned to cloud PBXs in one place. This makes number management faster and more reliable.
Before / After: impact table
Before, each PBX required an individual trunk, and DID management was dispersed. After trunk sharing, one trunk serves multiple PBXs and DID numbers are centralized, simplifying the entire process.
Key benefits for service providers and ITSPs
Centralized trunks and DID numbers, faster deployment, enhanced security through a dedicated SBC proxy, reduced server costs, and seamless migration to Yeastar’s secure, cost-effective UCaaS.
Future-proof your ITSP with Yeastar UCaaS
