The latest P-Series firmware brings features that strengthen security, compliance, and ease of management. New features include native STIR/SHAKEN implementation, which enables operators to meet FCC and CRTC requirements, while Red Hat SSO integration simplifies user management. You can also choose your outbound number directly from the phone interface using BLF.
Built-in STIR/SHAKEN feature
STIR/SHAKEN, a protocol for combating caller ID spoofing, is now natively supported on shared trunks in P‑Series Cloud Edition. The system automatically signs outgoing calls, verifies incoming calls, filters untrusted calls, and logs the results in the CDRs. This integration eliminates the need for third-party services or additional costs.
STIR/SHAKEN Configuration via YCM
To enable STIR/SHAKEN, each partner must obtain an SS certificate from the policy administrator. On the YCM platform, simply go to Cloud PBX → Trunk Sharing, upload the certificate and private key, then set the verification policy. Support is available starting with the latest firmware and YCM version, with production deployment planned for November 17 for BYOI solutions.
Red Hat SSO Integration
P‑Series becomes a Service Provider (SP) for Red Hat SSO via SAML 2.0. This connection enables automatic user synchronization, extension creation, profile updates, and single sign-on to Linkus Desktop and Web clients. Administrators benefit from centralized management, while users enjoy seamless authentication.
DOD Selection via BLF
Users can now choose their outbound number (DOD) by entering a feature code or through the Linkus UC interface. Administrators can monitor these changes in real time using BLFs, providing greater visibility into trunk usage.
Additional optimizations
The firmware adds support for SIP 302 Redirect, which is essential for French compliance, while retaining the original caller ID during transfer. Other improvements, such as support for new IP device models, are also included.
Configuration Guides
Detailed guides are available for configuring STIR/SHAKEN, Red Hat SSO integration, and DOD selection via BLF, to help administrators implement these features quickly.
Recent Updates and Resources
P‑Series continues to evolve with monthly updates covering the API, AI, transcription, presence management, and CRM integration. Additional resources, such as Microsoft, Google, and Azure AD SSO integration templates, are also available.
Upgrade and free trial
Administrators can update their firmware through the management portal, while new users can start a free 30‑day trial to test the new features.
