Yeastar, a global provider of unified communications solutions, and Headset Solutions, South Africa’s leading distributor of headsets and video solutions, announced a distribution partnership on 1 August 2022.
Through this partnership, Headset Solutions will offer the full Yeastar Workplace range, including the Room Display, the People Counting Sensor, the Room Comfort Sensor and the UG65 LoRaWAN® Gateway. The Room Display is a wall-mounted touchscreen that indicates room occupancy, displays current and upcoming meetings, and allows employees to book rooms, check in and end meetings directly from the screen. The People Counting Sensor, with a 48 m² detection area and 95 % accuracy, collects attendance data in real time and syncs it with the online platform and room displays, automatically freeing up ghost meetings to optimize space utilization.
The Room Comfort Sensor measures temperature, humidity, light, CO₂ concentration, and volatile organic compounds (TVOC), and displays this information in real time on an E‑ink screen, helping maintain a comfortable environment in meeting rooms. The UG65, a robust LoRaWAN gateway, connects Yeastar Smart sensors (Occupancy Sensor and People Counting Sensor) to Yeastar Workplace. Equipped with an SX1302 LoRa chip and a high-performance quad‑core processor, the UG65 provides clear coverage up to 15 km and covers approximately 10,000 to 15,000 ft² in office applications.
