On November 29, 2023, in Xiamen, China, Yeastar, a global leader in unified communications, unveiled its disaster recovery (DR) solution for the software edition of the P‑Series Phone System.
This active/standby solution, complemented by a secure, integrated SD‑WAN service, enables deployment of a backup PBX replica at another site or on a remote network. It provides real-time data replication, automatic failure detection and seamless failover. If the primary server becomes unavailable, calls and data are quickly transferred to the secondary site, which is especially useful during natural disasters or major disruptions.
DR can be used alongside local high availability (hot standby), which handles server failures and hardware crashes. Businesses can therefore combine local hot standby and inter-region DR for a complete business continuity plan.
“With the new disaster recovery solution, businesses can now rest assured that their communications infrastructure will remain available at all times, whatever the circumstances,” said Prince Cai, vice‑president of Yeastar.
The software edition of the P‑Series can support up to 10 000 users across multiple sites, integrating voice, video, team chat, an advanced contact center and omnichannel messaging. It also includes multi-layer security measures, from authentication to network defense, as well as the ability to manage calls and data securely.
Yeastar’s high availability solution is designed to meet the strictest requirements for reliability, security and compatibility with existing infrastructure.
The Yeastar team supports businesses and integrators in assessing their needs, selecting an architecture, and preparing for deployment.
